Charles Henry Harrod started a humble grocery shop in 1849 and by 1902 Harrods was London's biggest store, with 91 departments and a staff of more than 2000. Visitors from around the world continue to flock to the store and many enjoy a traditional Afternoon Tea in The Georgian Restaurant.
